Pawat Varapirom

Pawat is the Managing Partner, a co-founder, and Head of the Patent and Litigation Departments at TMP Intellectual Property. Recognized by leading publications—including Legal 500, IP Stars, Asia IP, WTR 1000, and IAM Patent 1000—Pawat has earned a strong reputation in the field of intellectual property law.

Pawat has extensive experience advising clients on the protection, commercialization, and litigation of their intellectual property assets. His expertise spans all aspects of trademark and patent prosecution, including registration, oppositions, and litigation in Thailand’s specialized IP courts. Pawat is also skilled in negotiating and drafting licensing agreements and technology transfer arrangements, helping clients maximize the value of their intellectual property portfolios in Thailand and abroad.

Unlike many lawyers in Thailand, Pawat combines legal expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset, shaped by his international academic background, global perspective, and genuine curiosity for different cultures. Pawat holds two Master of Laws (LLM) degrees, one from the University of Edinburgh and another from the Europa-Institut in Germany, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Chulalongkorn University. He is a qualified lawyer in Thailand, a member of the Lawyers Council of Thailand, a licensed notarial services attorney, and a registered patent agent in Thailand.
